Ain’t- Ain’t no mercy A- Ain’t A-Ain’t no mercy AH! To tood do do do do do do Got that Purple Lamborghini Purple Lamborghini Purple Lamborghini Lurkin!
Admit it. You can think of the music beat while reading the first paragraph. Haha. Personally, The coolest thing from Suicide Squad is it’s original soundtrack but I can’t compare the OST with anything so…yeah. If you don’t already know the song, the song called “Purple Lamborghini” by Skillex and Rick Ross. Listen to it before you watch the movie or read the comic version. It’s so dope. Don’t worry if you don’t see any Purple Lamborghini in MV because there ain’t no Purple Lamborghini Purple Lamborghini Purple Lamborghini.
I won’t focus on comic from any year because there are so many Suicide Squad comic series. The very first one was released back in year 1987,and I was born on 1997. I won’t be able to capture all of the details. But, I’m not Elza, so I’m not going to just let it go. I will do Suicide Squad anyway. Luckily there is only one version of Suicide Squad movie.
3 major things that freak people out are, first, the Joker’s tattoo. People are familiar with the Batman: The Dark Knight Rise’s Joker version and the cartoon version, the classy crazy clown. When there see the new joker with the new gangster concept, it’s not going to kill them, it just hurts them very very bad. There are also comic Joker that has a tattoo too but it’s that popular to make everyone realize. The comic Joker has a tattoo no one bats an eye on but when movie version has tattoo, everyone lose their mind. (insert Joker’s meme.) Second, Joker and Harley Quinn, the lovebirds. This is not what happened so many times in comic. Usually we see Joker hurts Harley Quinn or even through her out of the house but not for this version. The acid bath scene. In comic, Joker was the one who push her in to the acid bath, making her become a psycho. However, in movie version, Dr. Harleen Quinzel willing to jump in to the acid bath, and Joker jump too, to rescuer her. They also cut the scene that Joker slap Harlenn too. I don’t mind this at all. I’m glad that at least in one DC universe she could be with the man she loves. Anyway, I still shift Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. The man who does not respect woman, espeacially hurting her, does not deserve any woman. And, I hope to see Harley and Ivy in the movie version too. Third, again, the gangster Joker. People said that Joker was there because he has to be there just like other characters, except Harley Quinn and Will Smith wearing Deadshot suit. Joker spent more time in Purple Lamborghini music video than he does in the movie. But it is because this is Suicide Squad, not Joker Squad. This is exception for Joker. But, what for the others? There were there because there have to there. This is what happens when you try to squeeze a lot of main characters in just couple of hour movie. I feel bad for Katana. It’s like she doesn’t even there. She is one of the characters that have the tragedy background story that deserve to be known more than this. One of them does not died after the bomb but the movie version killed this character! (not going to spoil) The most doomed DC character EVER! I feel bad for him.
With Margot Robbie’s help, I forgot all those things I had listed above. Watching her as crazy clown makes me enjoy the movie. She really nailed it and deserves an applause. Because of her, after for so many years, Harley Quinn become more well known to regular people, not just only readers anymore. This is a big win for Suicide Squad. And also it’s OST. THEY ARE SO DOPE.
