Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo.OMG, I can not tell you how much I love Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT.) I started to become a fan of TMNT since year 2007. The Turtles appearance and the Leo vs. Raph’s scene got me obsessed over the turtles so bad. I become addicted to almost every version of TMNT since then and even got the turtle of my own. Each of version has its own origin of how the turtles become the mutant turtles.

Start with the classic version, the 1984 version is the comic. This version is very dark and bloody. All the turtles wear red mask. I only have few information about this because I can not find the comic to read

The 1987. Nope, not a big fan of this on. I’m sorry if I often the fan of this version.This is like kid’s show. Literally show for kids. It’s like I’m watching Barney Dinosaur. Unluckily, this is the version that non-TMNT fan remember their image. But, come on, this version! Seriously? They have all the weapons and they don’t even use it. Where did the bloody TMNT go? Where are these optimistic turtles come from? It’s all of them are Mikey, the happy orange mask turtle. The origin of this version is Sprinter is a human and The turtles are the pets, they mutant because of the toxic called OOZE.

The 2003 version. Now we are talking the same language. I remember, while other girls watch the girly cartoon, I’m here watching TMNT series when I was in primary school. I was so addicted to it so bad that I sleep 4:00 am and wake up 6:00 am, spending all of my time watching the series. This version is successful. It divide in to many season including TMNT Fast Forward, which the turtles send to the future, and TMNT Back To the Sever version which they return to present but Sprinter got stuck in cyber space, so they have the special suit to “Serve the internet” HAHA….well, you know.. they have to travel in cyber space, the internet..Okay, whatever. Since this version, from just the mask with white eyes, they got their brown eyes. Congratulation, it must be so had to see after all these years. The origin of this version is that sprinter is a pet of ninja, but his master got murdered by shredder. He leaves his cage and along with 4 little turtles, they mutant because of the toxic called OOZE and after that Sprinter trains the turtles to be ninjas. Sprinter names the turtles after the artist and raise them as his son.

The Nickelodeon version. I didn’t like the apparent of this version at first but when I look again. They are so cute! This version makes the turtles become more like teenagers. Their action are half childish and half adult. I guess about the age of 15. Unlike the latest version that they are more like an adult. I guess the age of 19-20. The joke in this version is funny and the plot is less serious than the the 2003 version. I only have problem with one thing, Donny has a crush on April…Hello, you’re a turtle and she’s a human, remember? Think of what your child would look like? The mutant human turtle?

The Micheal Bay version. This version ruins my turtle so bad. I’m sorry, but they are ugly. What have you done to my turtles?! And this one have the most WTF origin version. The turtles are April’s pet and she feed them with pizza…you feed your turtle with pizza,okay. She drop them into the sever to let them escape from the burning lap. Sprinter mutant along with the turtles and most importantly, he leant the ninja skill from the book. A book. You got to be kidding me…..Still a fan of TMNT anyway. The plot is so so. Anyway, I love the elevator scene.

Lastly, The manga version. This is not the original one. It’s a fan’s work but it really worth your time reading. This one is actually call Mutant Ninja Turtles Gaiden. The crisis happen after Leo killed Sprinter and harm everyone because the sword spirit take control of him. Making the turtles sprit apart. The story is what happen after that. This manga is not kids. It is bloody. There is also a scene that Leo cut a person’s head off.

I don’t care of how many remake of TMNT will took place in the future. I’ll will continue watching it anyway. I don’t know why. I don’t like some version, but I feel warm every time I watch them. It’s like I’m spending time with my childhood friend. COWABUNGA!
