Theory: Parkinson's Law VS. Me + Revenge Book Review.
Yes...ssss.....ssssss i....i.....iiiiit's... cccc.ca....called Parkinson's Theory. But, it is not the theory about the shaking old man. This theory was invented by Cyril Northcote Pakinson. He invented this theory because he saw that workers at the time can actually produce a lot of product but the high quantity did not come with high quality. So, he assigned easier task but decrease the time of working. You will need to reduce the time as much as possible to do one task since it claim that it will increase the quality of the work. For example, If you have a work due next month, you better do it right now and finish it by 2 weeks. Basically, FASTER! I decided to try it out whether it works or not.
After I tried it. I felt like rushing doing things instead making the best out of it. For time managing, I would recommend you guys to planned the list of things to do first, specific the time on what you will have start the task and when you will have to finish it; for example, start work out at 7:00 am and finish it by 8:30, and then make the plan really happen. You don't have to rush doing it to finish it as fast as possible. As long as you can manage your time to get things done according to your plane and by deadline, that is good enough. And, in this way, you will not put too much pressure on yourself. Some people work with out taking any break. This is like using the knife with out giving the time to sharpening it. Don't believe me just yet, try it out and find what works best for you. Each person prefer different things. Find what will suits you best. Maybe, this Pakinson' law will suit your life style. But, certainly not mine.
So, now let's talk about the book I am currently reading. "Revenge" by Yoko Ogawa. In contrast to the pinky cover, this book collected eleven dark tales together. Each chapter contain one short story with the dark plot twist. Each story in this book will have connection to the next chapter even that it is not characters' relationship kind of connection. The characters might just sit in the same train or sae the same thing. Even that the book is dark but it weirdly make the readers feel addicted to it. Not only just me but a lot of other readers too. The cover of the book was chosen to pink because it is the colour of the human's flesh and the weird title line that represent the unpredictable story. If you take a closer look to the book, you wont only consume the story about the death. But, you will learn that we fear of the death, but it is not the death that is scary and harmful, the livings are. Well, I'm addicting to this book at the time and I don't want to spend my time reading other book just yet. And, there is no movie version nor TV serious of it. So, I can't compare it with anything. Personally I would love to let the book this way, not making it in to motion, because the book itself is beautiful as it is. I read it Thai and the language are so beautiful contrasting to the dark story. This might be the reason why I love it so much.
